The Aura

The aura is the cohesive quantum energy field that creates the body and holds our emotions, thoughts, and behavior patterns in time and space.

Energy flowing between different people as thoughts and feelings are actually moving between the auras of each individual. According to Barbara Brennan in her book,. Hands of Light, a “normal” or “quiet” aura has a dark blue-purple or clear layer pulsating out to one-quarter or one-half inch from the skin. It is constantly pulsating at the rate of about 15 pulses per minute. The pulsations from a wave-like motion down the arms, legs and torso. The blue color turns to a yellow color around the head.

When we have strong feelings, our “quiet” aura will be permeated by another color correlating to the emotional state we are experiencing.

Someone who is angry may show pulsations of dark red in the aura, while someone speaking about their favorite topic may exhibit gold or silvery gold.

Depression may be seen as dark gray and heavy, while fear has a whitish gray color. A person who is ill or who uses drugs or alcohol may exhibit “etheric mucus” or blockages in part of the aura.

Transits to out natal chart constantly change and transform our auric field. Sometimes these changes are temporary as, for example, a day with Mars square our Mercury may make us restless and impatient. Our aura may show splotches of red shooting out, but these may be gone overnight.

Long-term transits have different effects on the aura. Gray and black may be prevalent during a Saturn transit when we are feeling down and depressed. Indigo and often purple are in the aura during Neptune transits. These may become permanent as we connect deeper to our spiritual source. Uranus transits may cause the aura to change frequently, with many colors appearing and disappearing.

Color healing is extremely helpful in working with and learning to transform our transits. Using the color orange for Saturn transits, works well to charge the vital and emotional energy.

During Uranus transits, the color blue is very important for calming the nervous system; green also works well for balance, stability and integration.

Utilizing indigo, blue-purple, violet and purple for Neptune helps us to reach our spiritual aspirations.

Often rose and pink are helpful under Pluto transits if we are transforming old emotional patterns; green works well to bring out healing abilities and to nurture ourselves while we are going through Plutonian initiation.
